Karen is an experienced sessional GP in Highett Melbourne. The current Deputy Chair of the RACGP (Victoria Faculty), and past chair of the RACGP Women in General Practice (Victoria Faculty), she has extensive experience in Women’s Leadership and Peer Connection in General Practice. A PhD candidate, her current research engages with the role of peer connection in general practice.

As a co-founder of GPs Down Under, she has a deep interest in informal learning networks and informal supervision models, and strong beliefs in building a respectful and equitable healthcare world. Her 10-year history as a practice owner has enabled her to build a deep understanding of the ways that providing quality primary health care intersects with the demands of the business world.
